Last reviewed: October 2026.
Global Peace Institute, London ("the Institute", "GPIL") is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Questions about it, and requests to exercise your rights, should be sent to info@globalpeaceinstitute.org.
We do not ask for information we do not need, and we do not buy personal information from others.
Children take part in the Institute's programmes only with the consent of a parent or guardian. On this website children are listed by name and country only. The Institute does not publish photographs of children, their ages, schools or contact details.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with those who help us run our work, such as venue and event partners for a specific event and the providers of our email and website hosting, and only as far as they need it. We may disclose information where the law requires.
Some of those providers are outside the United Kingdom. Where information is transferred abroad we rely on the safeguards that UK data protection law provides.
Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Programme, event and award records are kept for as long as they are needed for the Institute's records and its history, and names and awards form part of its permanent register. Mailing details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Under UK data protection law you may ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to withdraw consent. Anyone listed on this website may ask for their entry to be corrected or removed. Write to info@globalpeaceinstitute.org; we will reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We will update this notice when our practice changes and show the date of the latest review at the top of the page.
